1) ELIGIBILITY (17+)
The Services are intended for users age 17 and older. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 17 years old and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2) THE SERVICE
Trovia turns your reading journey into a creative masterpiece by enabling you to:
- Snap and style: take photos of book excerpts and apply elegant literary frames to create reading cards.
- Voice your thoughts: record voice notes while reading, and organize them into your reading archive.
- Custom visual journals: combine photos, notes, and voice memos into a diary with a local aesthetic touch.
- Build your archive: track reading history and revisit moments anytime.
Some features may require an internet connection. Optional automated processing (including AI-assisted styling or generation) may be offered; if you choose to use it, you control whether to upload content for processing.
3) ACCOUNTS
If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
4) YOUR CONTENT
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of photos, text, notes, voice recordings, and other content you submit, create, or store using the Services ("User Content").
4.2 License to operate the Services
You grant Trovia a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Services and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
4.3 Responsibility
You are responsible for your User Content, including ensuring you have all necessary rights to upload or use it (for example, you have permission to use book excerpts, images, or recordings).
5) ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Infringe or violate others' rights (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights)
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law
- Access the Services using automated means that create unreasonable load or bypass restrictions
- Circumvent security or access controls
We may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe there is a violation of these Terms or applicable law.
6) OPTIONAL AUTOMATED (INCLUDING AI-ASSISTED) FEATURES
If the Services offer optional automated features (including AI-assisted styling or generation), then:
- You control whether to upload content for processing.
- Processing details, data handling, and deletion practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
- Outputs are provided for creative assistance and may not be error-free.
7) THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS
The Services may reference or display third-party content (for example, book titles, authors, or excerpts you input). Trovia does not endorse third-party materials and is not responsible for them.
8) INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Services, including software, designs, and trademarks (including "Trovia"), are owned by Trovia or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or used the Services unlawfully. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will stop.
11) DISCLAIMERS
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TROVIA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
12) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TROVIA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TROVIA'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TROVIA FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, IF YOU PAID NOTHING, USD $10).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, the above limitations apply to the extent permitted.
13) CHANGES TO THE SERVICES OR TERMS
We may modify or discontinue parts of the Services from time to time. We may update these Terms by posting an updated version and updating the Effective Date above. Your continued use after the update means the updated Terms apply.
14) GOVERNING LAW; DISPUTE RESOLUTION; BINDING ARBITRATION
Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of Trovia's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Dispute resolution: any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by applicable law. The arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis, not as a class or representative action.
